In the standard environment, you always trade with a price guarantee — you know the exact price upfront before you buy or sell. The advanced environment is for those who want more flexibility, with market and limit orders to set their own price and timing.

Market price: your order is executed at the current market price at the time of execution.
Limit order: you set a price in advance; the order is only executed when the market reaches that price.
Price guarantee: you trade at a pre-agreed price that remains valid for a limited period, regardless of any market movements in the interim.

A price guarantee means that when trading, you are offered a fixed price for a predetermined period. Once you accept this price, the order is executed at that price. Any market movements between acceptance and execution are covered by Amdax.

That depends on the circumstances at the time. Prices can rise and fall constantly. By locking in a price for a few seconds, you're not exposed to these fluctuations — which means you may end up paying more or less than the current market price. Amdax takes on that risk on your behalf, which is why a risk premium is included in the price.
